Damaging Hail Pelts Oklahoma Amid Severe Storms

A hailstorm with damaging winds blew through Norman, Oklahoma, late on Wednesday, April 28, as severe weather impacted much of the region.

The National Weather Service said the “dangerous” storm produced “baseball-sized” hail with winds reaching speeds of 75 mph as it moved through central and east Oklahoma.

Footage recorded by Norman resident Addison Alford shows hail falling as lightning flickers shortly before 9 pm Wednesday evening. Alford said later on Twitter that two windows in her home were broken during the storm “by wind-driven hail” and that her “roof may need replacing.” Credit: Addison Alford via Storyful
