Hurricane Laura came barreling through Louisiana early on August 27 as one of the strongest storms ever to hit the region. At least six people were killed, and there was widespread damage to places like Lake Charles, seen in this footage.
Instagram user @s.patel18 surveyed the damage to buildings and vehicles after the storm had passed, and also recorded footage of a fire at a plant in nearby Westlake.
Louisiana State Police said there was a chlorine leak involved in the fire, at a BioLab facility. The precise cause of the fire was still under investigation, according to local media. Credit: @s.patel18 via Storyful
