Dada Chan learns from past mistakes

13 Feb – Although she has yet to win another award since winning Best Supporting Actress at the 2012 Hong Kong Film Awards for "Vulgaria", Dada Chen stated that winning an award is not the ultimate goal in her career.

The actress, who sat down for an interview with Mingpao recently, shared that while she did win an award that early in her career, she is much happier to be where she is now.

"This is the best time in my life. I didn't experience much in my life, and now I do. I have been to many places and learned a lot of new things. Now I am more confident in performing my roles," she said.

Dada acknowledged the mistakes she made in the past, especially when she announced her retirement from acting in 2013 only to return to the limelight a few months later.

"I know I have done wrong things in the past. But I don't think I should look back. I should just focus on doing a good job now," she said.

On the other hand, when asked about her love life, Dada said that she has learned a lot from past experiences, and would rather focus on her career for now.
