Jordan Flom and his wife are parents to triplet boys and a toddler
Jordan Flom and his wife Rachel were brainstorming Halloween costume ideas for their 9-month-old triplet sons when she came up with a clever idea: whack-a-mole!
Flom, who also has a daughter with Rachel, tells PEOPLE after the two agreed on the idea, he got to work making it happen in the best way he could. After creating a plan, he spent about five hours working on the design.
"POV: When mom trusts you with the triplets' costume," the Nashville local captioned an Instagram video of himself making the costume.

In an interview with PEOPLE, the dad explained that the costume was made using an extra-large box from Home Depot, along with fabric and glue from Michaels. In the Instagram video, he captured himself spray-painting cardboard red and blue, then using foam pieces to transform the box into what resembled an arcade game console, complete with cutouts for the babies' heads.
He also added an inflatable hammer attached to the costume with a string. After the costume was done, he placed the triplets in the cutouts, wearing matching brown beanies.
"The triplets loved it, which surprised us! And the toddler thought it was so funny because she controlled the hammer, haha," the dad of five told PEOPLE exclusively.
After posting, Flom's video went viral, garnering more than 430,000 likes and 2,000 comments on Instagram. Many of the comments noted how clever and detailed the dad was when creating the costume.
"I wanted a costume that was easy for people with young children allowing them to push a wagon around the block and still participate," Flom says.
"Never ceases to amaze me what you come up with! 👏👏👏," one person wrote.
Someone else chimed in, "Absolutely nailed the triplet costume! 🎃✨ It must be so much fun to plan outfits for three adorable little pumpkins. Can't wait to see more of their Halloween adventures."
"That's adorable, genius and budget friendly. ❤️." another user commented.
Other people were quick to notice how much the couple's toddler also enjoyed the costume.
"Big sister couldn't WAIT to give it a try!," one user commented on the post.
"Lil sis was like me first!🤣," someone else said.
