'It Came Straight for Me!' Shark Filmed Patrolling Shallow Waters

A dad who was checking the water before letting his kids go in at a beach in Francois Peron National Park, Western Australia, found himself close to a shark swimming in the shallows.

Footage recorded by Janelle Hickey in June shows the shark near the shore, only a few meters away from her husband, who was checking that the water was safe.

The footage was originally uploaded by dad BJ to the family’s YouTube channel with the caption: “I thought I saw a fin, so I splashed, and it came straight for me!”
