D.C. police officer says those denying Jan. 6 events ‘disgraceful’

D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone gave his opening testimony about what happened on Jan. 6 during the U.S. House select committee’s first hearing. Fanone said he “went to hell and back” to protect the lawmakers at the Capitol. He also said the efforts of those who are downplaying or outright denying the events of what happened that day is “disgraceful,” as he slammed his hand on the desk.
