Czech Firefighters Battle Wildfire at National Park
Firefighters in Hrensko, Czech Republic, battled a wildfire which closed tourist attractions and local roads in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park after it started on Sunday, July 24.
Footage shared by the Fire Rescue Services of the Czech Republic on Monday shows helicopters and firefighters battling the flames near the village of Hrensko, in the Usti nad Labem region.
The Fire Rescue Service for the Usti nad Labem Region said that approximately 150 firefighters remained on the scene on Monday. The wildfire was first reported on Sunday morning, it added.
Local media reported on Monday that Edmund’s Gorge, a popular tourist destination in the park, remained closed for visitors.
