Cyclone Trevor Leaves Trail of Destruction in Lockhart River, Queensland

Strong wind and rain from Tropical Cyclone Trevor left a trail of destruction in the town of Lockhart River, Queensland.

The category 3 cyclone made landfall in the far north Queensland community on the night of March 19, the Bureau of Meteorology said in a tweet. This drone video and images, shared by the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), show the battered town where trees can be seen toppled over and some streets flooded.

Wind gusts of up to 117 kilometres per hour were recorded at the town, the BoM said.
