Cya Liu gets surprise celebration from Andy Lau and team

21 Jul – Nobody was more excited about Cya Liu's Best Actress win than the producer of her new movie, Andy Lau.

As reported on Mingpao, on 18 July, following Cya's victory at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the cast and crew of her new movie, "I Did It My Way" surprised the actress with a cake to congratulate her.

It was co-star Eddie Peng who brought out the cake, which has the words 'The I Did It My Way Team congratulates Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress Cya Liu" written on the cake, while Andy Lau and Simon Yam gave her a surprise celebration.

Andy also personally congratulated the actress, adding, "Hopefully, "I Did It My Way" will be the next movie that enables Cya to win another award."

Speaking about the surprise, the actress said, "This is the first cake I get. After winning the award, I received well-wishes and alcohol, but today I got a cake. I was very surprised."

Cya won Best Actress for her performance in "Limbo", the first ever HKFA accolade for the actress.

74-year-old woman dies after being shoved in front of San Francisco train
