A small fox that fell into an 80-feet-deep dry well in a forest near Ahmednagar, western India, had to be rescued on February 11. Luckily, the poor animal survived the fall without any major injury. According to local media, villagers gave the fox food and water for nearly nine days before calling Akash Jadhav at the Animal Rescue Society to rescue it. Footage from February 11 shows two rescuers trying to catch the fox that continually evading their large butterfly net. The agile animal dodged them for nearly an hour before the persistent rescuers managed to catch and haul the fox up. “It was hard to pin it down. We were also cautious and made sure it did not bite us," Akash Jadhav said.
