Staff at SeaWorld San Antonio recently welcomed the hatching of a chinstrap penguin chick.
Video shared by SeaWorld San Antonio on February 11 shows the hatchling breaking out of its shell.
SeaWorld San Antonio said the incubation period for the chick ranges between 32 and 40 days, and the chick will become fully grown in about two months.
“SeaWorld has had a successful penguin breeding program with approximately 30 chicks of varying species hatching in the 2020/2021 breeding season,” SeaWorld San Antonio said. Credit: SeaWorld San Antonio via Storyful
