A curious bear cub investigated a National Park Service wildlife camera in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve in Alaska, just as Fat Bear Week was coming to a close.
Footage posted by Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve shows the cub looking at the camera as another bear, identified by the park as its mother, stays off screen.
The post said: “This cub would like to know, have you voted in the #FatBearWeek championship?”
According to the week’s website, Fat Bear Week is a “an annual tournament celebrating the success of the bears at Brooks River in Katmai National Park,” where people can vote for their favorite fattest bear. The competition runs from September 30 to October 6. Credit: Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve via Storyful
