Cruise Ship Linked to Australian COVID-19 Cases Docks in Philippines as Crew Awaits Virus Testing

The Ruby Princess, a cruise ship linked to hundreds of cases of COVID-19 in Australia, arrived in Manila Bay, in the Philippines, on May 7, with 214 Filipino crew members aboard awaiting testing for the virus.

Helicopter footage shows the Philippine Coastal Guard flying over the ship to oversee its arrival into the bay.

The Coast Guard said the vessel had 214 Filipino crew members aboard who were scheduled to be tested for COVID-19.

At least 13 other cruise ships were also in the anchorage area of Manila Bay.
