Cruise halted as passengers test positive for COVID-19

A Caribbean cruise was abruptly halted after several passengers tested positive for COVID-19.

That’s according to SeaDream Yacht Club on Friday, which said their ship has returned to port in Barbados and that all passengers were being re-tested.

All tests of crew members have come back negative, according to the company.

Some of the earliest clusters of COVID-19 were spread onboard cruise ships… outbreaks that shut down much of the cruise industry this year.

SeaDream Yacht Club had said in September it planned to become the first luxury cruise operator to resume sailing in the West Indies, with 22 voyages planned from Nov. 7 onwards.
