Crowds Gather in Toronto's Queen's Park For Anti-Shutdown Demonstration

People gathered in Toronto’s Queen’s Park on Saturday, May 2, to protest the government-mandated shutdown put in place in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford reportedly called the demonstration “disrespectful” to essential workers and military personnel.

This video shows the crowd in Queen’s Park, and drivers can be heard honking horns in support of the rally. This was the second weekend in a row anti-lockdown protesters gathered in the park, reports said. Credit: Robin Pueyo via Storyful
