Crowds Await President Biden's Arrival in Greenwood on Centennial of Tulsa Race Massacre

Crowds gathered outside the historic Vernon African Methodist Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, June 1, ahead of remarks by President Joe Biden marking the Tulsa Race Massacre’s centennial.

On Monday, Biden became the first sitting US president to commemorate the massacre by issuing a proclamation reflecting on the effects of the attack and honoring the Greenwood community.
