Crowd Sings God Save the King at England Cricket Match

Cricket fans attending the England vs South Africa test match on Saturday, September 10 sang “God Save the King” ahead of the start of play.

Video filmed by supporters’ club England’s Barmy Army shows the crowd singing the British national anthem in unison along with a singer as King Charles III was proclaimed the new monarch in London.

Charles replaced his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, as the UK sovereign following her death on September 8 in Balmoral. He was officially proclaimed king on September 10. Credit: England’s Barmy Army via Storyful
