Crowd Gathers For Vigil in San Jose to Honor Victims of Shooting

Large crowds gathered at San Jose’s City Hall Plaza in California, to honor the victims of Wednesday’s shooting at a Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) rail yard, that left nine people dead.

“Footage”: posted by the VTA, shows a large group of people converging in the plaza. Other images posted from the same account show attendees leaving flowers at a memorial for the victims.

The suspect was later identified as 57-year-old Sam Cassidy by local police, who said his motives for the attack were still under investigation. Cassidy also died in the incident from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to reports. Credit: Valley Transportation Authority via Storyful
