Crowd Gathers in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay on Tiananmen Square Anniversary

A crowd gathered in Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay after police closed off large areas of the nearby Victoria Park on June 4, the day a vigil for the Tiananmen Square massacre would normally be held there.

Crowds defied the first ban on the vigil last year, to gather on the 31st anniversary of the brutal 1989 crackdown. However, live video from the scene this year showed police present and no crowds gathered at the park. Police said they also made two arrests, including of prominent pro-democracy activist Hang Tung Chow.
