Crews Fight Lucky Strike Fire in Northern Texas
Officials in Texas were battling six new wildfires on Tuesday, June 14, including the Lucky Strike fire in Roberts County, which was estimated to be hundreds of acres in size.
The Texas A&M Forest Service said this footage was taken at the Lucky Strike fire in Roberts County on Tuesday. The fire was estimated to be 800 acres in size and was 60 percent contained as of Wednesday afternoon, an official update said.
Officials said temperatures and wind speeds in the area would be “slightly reduced” on Wednesday, but above-normal temperatures and dry conditions persisted.
