Crews Battle Wildfire Burning Through Parts of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

The KNP Complex Fire burning in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and Sequoia National Forest, California, had grown to 81,473 acres on October 6, according to the latest update from fire authorities.

According to local reports, more than a dozen homes and buildings have been destroyed by the fire, which was 11 percent contained as of Wednesday.

New evacuation orders were issued for Hume Lake, Fresno County, on Monday night, as the fire continued to spread.
