Crashed Tanker Spills Thousands of Gallons of Fuel in Colorado

Approximately 3,000 gallons of gasoline spilled following a multi-vehicle collision on a highway in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on Tuesday, January 17, according to local news outlets.

Footage from the Glenwood Springs Fire Department shows a crew offloading remaining gasoline from the damaged tank trailer to a second tanker on the I-70.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) reported that 7,000 gallons of gasoline were offloaded from the tanker.

Local news outlets said the fuel had not reached the Colorado River, citing state officials.
