Covid vaccines to be made compulsory for care home staff

Covid vaccinations will be compulsory for all care home workers in England. Health Secretary Matt Hancock made the announcement in the House of Commons on Wednesday. The decision comes as cases of the Delta variant continue to rise in areas across the UK. Care home staff are expected to be given up to 16 weeks to get vaccinated or could face losing their jobs. The NHS has also invited people over the age of 21 to book their first Covid vaccination. .
