COVID-19 vaccines to go on display for exhibition

The Smithsonian is collecting coronavirus artifacts

The first-known dose of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in the U.S.

Location: Smithsonian's National Museum of American History

The 'In Sickness and in Health' exhibition will chronicle the history of pandemics

The exhibition will also feature

- artifacts from the 19th-century

- vaccination tools

- diagnostic instruments

- cardiac implants

and objects from the global smallpox eradication campaign
