PUTRAJAYA, March 21 (Bernama) -- Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel can lodge a police report if they find that their patient is hiding any information related to COVID-19.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said among the important information was recent travel history to high-risk countries or any ties with the participants of the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering.
“Hiding information is an offence because it would put healthcare workers at risk of contracting COVID-19.
“For example one patient revealed about (his) relation with a tabligh (COVID-19) patient at a later stage.
“The ward has to be closed down, hospital staff have to undergo screening and be isolated for 14 days,” he told a COVID-19 daily briefing at the ministry here today.
