Covid-19: Eight new clusters detected in Sabah, Selangor, Labuan, Negri Sembilan, Johor

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 — The Health Ministry (MoH) said today it has identified eight more Covid-19 clusters involving three in Sabah, two in Selangor, and one in Negri Sembilan, Johor and Labuan each.

The Sabah clusters are called the Rumah Merah, Telipok dan Sembulan clusters while the Selangor clusters are the Merpati dan Astaka clusters.

“There still are 133 active clusters, from that 40 clusters reported cases today,” said health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The remaining three new clusters are the Gala cluster in Negri Sembilan with eight cases, Meldrum cluster in Johor with six cases, and Titian cluster in Labuan with 11 cases.

The Rumah Merah cluster in Sabah had the most cases today at 56 followed by the Merpati cluster with 45.

Selangor reported 150 cases today the bulk of the cases came from the Petaling cluster (54) followed by Sepang (44), Hulu Langat (25), Gombak (eight), Kuala Langat (eight), Klang (eight), Kuala Selangor (two) and Sabak Bernam (one).

As for recoveries, Sabah had 277, Selangor (135), Negri Sembilan (25), Perak (22), Penang (12), Sarawak (five), Johor (four), Terengganu (three), Pahang (two), Melaka (two), Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (two), and Kelantan (two).

The total number of recoveries to date is 20,248 and four states Perlis, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang had zero cases today.
