COVID-19 cases surge as Beijing battles infections

STORY: China reported 8,335 new COVID-19 infections for Tuesday (November 8), with Beijing accounting for 32 symptomatic and 48 asymptomatic cases.

Beijing resident Wang Chaoming said he found the tighter measure acceptable “for the sake of everyone’s health” as the COVID situation in the capital was “still quite serious”.

Another Beijing resident who works in the insurance industry said his office building has been locked down and that he’s had to work out of a new location.
