When it comes to street style, Rihanna is a shining star—making it an ultra-rare occasion that her look be eclipsed by her destination. But come Saturday night, that very scenario took place as the Fenty mogul was spotted heading into a recording studio (!!) in New York City.

Since the city doesn’t sleep, neither did Rihanna, considering she entered the studio around 2:30 a.m. Fans are speculating that the nine-time Grammy winner—who hasn’t released a new album since 2016’s Anti—could have a new project on the horizon, while (rightfully) skeptical fans are theorizing her studio shift could be for something else entirely. With so many brands under her belt, the “Diamonds” singer could be recording a voice-over for Fenty Beauty, or an original song for Paramount’s upcoming animated Smurfs movie, in which she voices Smurfette.

Safe to say that whatever Rihanna comes up with, it’ll be worth tuning into. And while the reason behind her studio visit remains a mystery, her ensemble served up some hard truths—one of them being that the Louis Vuitton Speedy Soft 30 bag never goes out of style.

The singer toted a classic brown iteration of the logomania purse around her arm, proving (as always) that she’s one step ahead of the trend. Naturally, Rihanna’s version of the bag came exclusively from Louis Vuitton’s 57th Street New York City store, and the design flaunted its own cutesy bag charms. She added her own touch by tying a light blue bandana around the top handles.

Like any of the star’s winter outfits, she bundled up in a brown fur coat, this time opting to reverse her floor-length jacket to create a nylon shell. Underneath, she wore a sporty aquamarine zip-up, styling the piece with charcoal track pants and a coordinating pair of vibrant blue Puma Speedcat sneakers. Metallic teal beads on the ends of her new hairstyle—neat cornrows curled at the ends—brought her whole look together.
