Why settle for a boring ol’ chicken coop when you can fashion a tiny town instead? That’s what one couple did with their coop, and it looks like a lavish setup.

Facebook user Mitzi Ballard shared a look at her coop in the public Facebook group BYC (BackyardChickens). It has everything you’d expect a Western town would have: a saloon, livery stables, hotel, cafe, shops, water tower, dust bath, and blacksmith workshop. There’s even a mini jail with a wanted poster and tiny keys on the front of it.

Other people have reposted photos of the coop on Facebook, and chicken coop owners are quite jealous. “I just realized I am obviously not trying hard enough to make my birds happy,” a Facebook user wrote on one of the posts. “I better go with a Jurassic Park-themed setup.” Another person commented, in a presumably half-joking way, that this coop is so cute it makes them want to throw their own in the trash.

If you want to put a fun spin on your chicken coop, turning it into a tiny village is a solid design idea. You can go with a Western theme, choose a town from a classic movie, or maybe turn it into a tiny, big city. If it's not entertaining for the chickens, it'll at least be more amusing for you to look. Plus, it's a DIY project that you can spend a decent chunk of time on.
