Country Star Luke Combs Makes 12-Year-Old's Birthday Extra Special at Maine Concert

Luke Combs started his Middle of Somewhere Tour with a bang in Bangor, Maine, as he delighted two young fans in the crowd by offering to cover the cost of their concert tickets on September 2.

Video recorded by Bryan James shows the American country star bringing the show to a halt to address two young fans wielding a sign stating they had stacked wood to pay for concert tickets.

“Luke gave the boys money he had in his pocket and got together with the boys … after the concert to take photos and give them some merchandise,” James told Storyful.

James wrote in the original posting of the video: “Luke is the man.” Credit: Bryan James via Storyful

Today's my 12th birthday. Oh lord, when it rains, it pours. That is awesome. How much-- OK. Can we get them over the thing here? Come on.

What's up, man? OK, I got a question for y'all. Y'all can see me back there, right? What's up, buddy? How much did it cost y'all? How much were your tickets? $100? Y'all made $100, $200? $100 apiece? Oh my god. I think the only got-- I got $140 right here, if y'all want that.

Pay yourselves back. Much-- I'll get you some more. Let me get-- Carlson, y'all got a pen-- you got a pen somewhere? I got some stuff to sign, I think. Carlson, come hold this. If I had three hands, I'd hold it myself.

This is Tyler right here. So Tyler's going to come find you guys in a minute. I'm going to get y'all a bunch of shirts and stuff. I'm going to get-- make sure to say hi to you after the show, OK? Good work, boys. I paid you back a little bit. I'll finish paying you back later on, I promise.

That goes right into this next song pretty well. This next song is about being proud.
