Costa launches new frappé just in time for summer
Costa Coffee has added the new Cookie Dough Frappé to its range of summertime beverages for 2024.
Renowned for its wide variety of frappuccinos, which are essentially coffee mixed with ice and syrup, this well-known outlet has never shied away from trying out strong flavours, such as blueberry boba, chocolate fudge brownie, and mint chocolate chip.
This frappé has a vanilla base, is flavoured with cookie pieces, and is finished with cookie dough fudge sprinkles and whipped cream.
The drink is currently only available to Costa Club members. On June 27, it will be available to all customers.
Costa Coffee beverage innovation director Sandra Ferreira said: “Early bird gets the dough if you’re part of our Costa Club, as from tomorrow (June 20), members can get one week early, exclusive access to our brand new, mouth-watering Cookie Dough Frappé.”
Although costs haven't been made public, comparable frappés start at £5.30.
The new item is a part of the summer 2024 menu at Costa Coffee, which also has returning and other new items.
These include the plant-based Gingernut Loaf Cake, a variety of flatbreads, a new fruity bubble tea, and iced whipped lattes.
The summer menu, which became available on May 2, sees the return of iced whipped lattes in chocolate and salted caramel flavours, as well as the arrival of a new white chocolate flavour.
The Iced Whipped Latte is made with milk, your choice of syrup, and a coating of whipped coffee that is incredibly smooth.
Additionally, there is the new Blueberry Burst Bubble Tea, which combines blueberries with a red berry infusion tea over still lemonade, complete with blueberry bubbles and ice.
In 1971, the Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa founded Costa Coffee in London. Today, the company operates in 50 countries, with more than 1,300 locations worldwide and more than 2,700 locations in the UK and Ireland.
