Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby continues to worry about her young son Oliver next week as she receives an update from his nursery.

Leanne (Jane Danson) was already feeling stressed-out about the toddler after he recently had a seizure and had to be rushed to hospital for a check-up.

Although Leanne was told that there was probably nothing to worry about, she's given more to think about next week when one of the nursery staff makes an observation.

One of the workers at the nursery believes Leanne's son isn't developing physically at the same rate as his peers.

There's a feeling that Oliver could be falling behind – something Leanne may wish to investigate further.

Later, Leanne confides in Oliver's father Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) about the conversation. How will he react? Is there really anything for them to be concerned about?

Coronation Street fans saw the Oliver storyline begin earlier this month, when he had a seizure while briefly in the care of local schoolgirl Summer Spellman.

Steve took Oliver to the medical centre and the hospital, but was reminded that a seizure wasn't necessarily anything to worry about.

Tension later broke out between Steve and Leanne over why Oliver had been left alone with Summer in the first place.

Steve had taken some time out to help his daughter Emma Brooker with her latest love life dramas, but Leanne was unimpressed by his lack of commitment to Oliver.

Arguments soon erupted over future custody arrangements, but will Leanne and Steve start to realise they need to put on a united front?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, May 6 at 7.30pm on ITV.
