Next week on 'Coronation Street': Alina is pregnant, plus Gail has a heart attack (spoilers)
Alina and Tyrone may have only been together for five minutes, but it seems she’s already expecting his baby.
Plus, there’s a health crisis for Gail, and James comes out at a press conference – it’s all you need to know about the week ahead on Coronation Street 28 June to 2 July 2021.
Alina’s pregnancy shock
Having known nothing about the abuse Tyrone endured at the hands of Kirsty, you can expect Alina to be left shocked when Sally puts her in the picture.
But the surprises are set to keep coming for Alina when, just as Ty is organising Kirsty’s funeral, she discovers that she’s pregnant.

Both she and Tyrone are left floored by this news and, pretty soon, word starts to get out, with Evelyn and then Kev discovering all. But all eyes will be on Fiz, whose reaction we’ll get next Friday.
Gail suffers a heart attack
A childminding Gail is feeling caught in the middle, with David putting pressure on her to let Sam see Nick while, at the same time, Natasha is insisting that he stay away.
This tug of love eventually becomes too much for Gail, who ends up doubling over in pain and being taken off in an ambulance. Considering the life she’s led, it’s a wonder this hasn’t happened sooner, but it seems that all the bickering in the Platt house has caused her to have a heart attack. But will the Corrie stalwart survive?
Pride and prejudice for James
Football star James is reunited with his ex-boyfriend Danny, but the meet-up is captured on camera by some lads in the bar. Pretty soon, the images have made their way online – along with some derogatory comments about his sexuality.
At a press conference held ostensibly to mark his promotion at Weatherfield County, James ends up announcing that he’s gay. But support looks set to come from Danny, who rethinks his plan to take a job in France and decides to take a chef’s job at the Bistro instead.
Summer ignores her diagnosis
Summer has yet to take on board the fact that she’s been diagnosed with diabetes. In fact, on the day of her appointment with the diabetic nurse, she ends up telling Billy and Todd that she’s going to meet her mates on the Red Rec instead.
And rather than cutting out sugar from her diet, Summer will be seen knocking back an energy drink. Will her recklessness result in another collapse?
Daisy is panicking at the pub
With Sean and the Rovers having suddenly parted ways, it’s left to Daisy to redo the rota. Her solution to this staffing crisis? To give herself all of Sean’s shifts. But as Emma points out, with Sean gone, so too is Betty’s hotpot recipe.
Daisy tries to play it down, but Emma insists that she’s not lifting a finger until Sean is reinstated. When Jenny then learns about Emma’s walkout, she’s furious and reinstalls Sean back behind the bar.
Daisy is then left feeling further humiliated when Jenny reveals that she’s looked at her finances and is going to buy the pub outright herself. So, after much speculation about who the next owner of the Rovers would turn out to be, it looks like Jenny might be staying put after all.
