Containment Efforts Continue for Dixie Fire Amid Weather Warning

Firefighters continued work to contain the Dixie Fire burning in California as the National Weather Service issued a fire weather watch for the area for September 9-10.

Thunderstorms and “strong outflow winds” were forecast for the region through to Friday.

Officials said the blaze had burned over 922,500 acres by Wednesday night, with containment at 59 percent.
