Will The Conners’ Becky Settle Down With Tyler in Final Season? — 2025 FIRST LOOK (Exclusive)
Will The Conners’ final episodes give Becky everything she ever wanted, and didn’t get during Roseanne’s original, nine-season run?
As part of our month-long #2025FirstLook series, TVLine can exclusively reveal the first photo from the ABC spinoff’s six-part farewell, which sees Becky (legacy cast member Lecy Goranson) and boyfriend Tyler (recurring guest star Sean Astin) give cohabitation a shot.

In The Conners’ Season 6 finale, Darlene gave Becky the green light to invite Tyler to come stay with them. Rather than rush to find a place together, the couple would have a chance to see what living together is actually like — and without displacing Beverly Rose should things not pan out as they hope. The above photo appears to capture a tense moment between the couple, but readers shouldn’t take that to mean that there’s necessarily trouble on the horizon.
“After some tough years, Becky has reclaimed who she is and begun to achieve her full potential, professionally and personally,” executive producer Bruce Rasmussen tells TVLine. “And she’s found a loving, supportive partner in Tyler, a good man who she hopes to spend the rest of her life with.”
TVLine previously spoke with Goranson about her hopes for the final season — not just for Becky, but for the entire Conner clan.
“It’s so hard to put a bow on it,” she said of the family saga, which has spanned 36 years over five decades. “I resist thinking about that for The Conners because we’re not really a ‘put a bow on it’ kind of family,” but “I do think that things are going in the right [direction]. I don’t know about, you know, Becky getting married [again]; I don’t know if that’s something that she would want. I think maybe cohabitating with Tyler, being able to time manage and finish school, then go into some kind of mental health profession. I don’t know if [her specialty is] addiction because that might be too close to home.”
In terms of the series finale, she said, “I hope that it would [have] a continuum energy, rather than a close-up shop energy, so that the audience can envision all of the characters going into the future.” (In other words, no killing off Dan this time.)
An abbreviated Season 7 will cap The Conners’ run at 112 episodes. Perhaps even more remarkable: Including Roseanne Season 10, the sitcom revival will have aired eight seasons total — just one season shy of Roseanne’s initial run. (Combined, Roseanne and The Conners will have produced a whopping 343 episodes.)
The Conners Season 7: Everything We Know
The Conners Season 7 premieres in March on ABC. TVLine will keep you posted once a precise date is announced. In the meantime, hit the comments with your hopes for the sitcom franchise’s second series finale.
