KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 — A mere RM4,635 in profit was registered for a concert held to raise funds for ailing singer Zamani, said the concert organiser.

This after claims by Zamani's wife that they had not been paid for the concert, Doa Buat Zamani.

The organiser, Aalan Ahmad told New Straits Times only 365 tickets, amounting to RM107,120, were sold.

Another RM9,000 was later added through the sales of tickets bought by the Tuanku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, making the collection stand at RM116,120.

He added that from that amount, RM111,485 was spent on items such as rental for the venue, musicians, guest artiste and the permit from City Hall.

“And what is left in hand is only RM4,635. That is all we received from the concert. The amount will be given to Zamani,” he added.

“Therefore, it is untrue that she did not get a sen from the concert. I can still remember Zamani's statement previously that he did not mind if the concert did not make a huge profit,” he said.

Aalan was also reported to have provided proof of receipts for the concert ticket sales.

The ailing singer's wife, Nur Jualiana Abd Rani was reported by Harian Metro, via WhatsApp, as claiming her husband did not receive any payment for his performance at the last September 30 concert which was held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.

Zamani previously surprised the public after a few live appearances with a hunched posture and revealed that he had scoliosis, a condition where the spine twists and curves to the side.

The singer shared that he had difficulties when sleeping as his bones were pressed to his heart making it hard for him to breathe.

He has decided to undergo surgery.

Aalan added that they would not take any action against Nur Juliana as there may have been a misunderstanding.

“She probably did not know the truth about the sale of the tickets. Tickets were not snapped up but at the same time, there was an audience that filled the seats.”

Harian Metro reported that Zamani and Aalan had settled the ticketing issue last Saturday.

According to Aalan, he met with the Masih Ada Cahaya singer to brief him regarding the unsold tickets and invited him to have a meeting with the official ticket seller, mytickets.asia.

“We shook hands and hugged before ending the meeting. He said it was okay and that he wanted to see the surgery through and after that we would continue to work together. So, I don't understand why this issue came up,” he said.

Zamani is scheduled to undergo his scoliosis surgery this November.
