A possible tornado was spotted east of Laurel, Mississippi, on March 17, amid a flurry of severe weather warnings in the southern United States.
On Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for parts of “western and central Alabama to eastern Mississippi.” At 12:20 pm, the National Weather Service’s Mobile office tweeted that a tornado was moving through Mississippi’s Wayne County, where it had already caused damage to homes.
