KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 — Comedian Mohamad Rizal Johan Van Geyzel will ‘tell-all’ post the Crackhouse Comedy Club shutdown in a new comedy special, ARRESTED.

Rizal will be performing the one-hour comedy special at PJ Live Arts Theatre on June 23 and 24 at 9pm and holding the last show at Chemsain Theatre, Kuching on July 15.

He kicked off his ‘mini-tour’ for ARRESTED on June 9 at Dewan Sri Pinang in George Town, Penang.

The comedian will share his brutally honest takes on life lessons learnt from his past, present, and future.

Audiences can expect a daring, no-holds barred performance that will be equally profound and absurd.

Rizal was the owner of Crackhouse Comedy Club, which was shut down and banned after various controversial clips of performances that allegedly insulted Islam went viral.

The comedian himself was blacklisted for life after being charged three times at the Kuala Lumpur sessions court for uploading videos on social media that were allegedly racially insensitive.

Rizal is a prominent figure in the international comedy scene, having performed at Comedy Central’s Stand up, Asia! and The Kings and Queens of Comedy Asia 2022 in Singapore.

The show is suitable for mature audiences only above the age of 18.

Ticket pricing will range from RM68 for normal seats, RM78 for premium seats, RM88 for VIP tickets and are available here.
