Colorado Wildlife Officers Save Deer Wedged Between Two Cargo Containers

Wildlife officers rescued a doe wedged between two metal cargo containers in Sedalia, Colorado – in the Denver metro area – on the morning of Monday, May 9, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife Northeast Region.

Video released by Colorado Parks and Wildlife Northeast Region shows the trapped dear, an officer sedating the deer, the containers being jacked apart, and the deer walking around after the sedative wore off.

The service said officers believed the deer had entered on the wider side of the crack between the containers, then got stuck. They believe it then reared up and fell on its back.

After tranquilizing the doe, wildlife officers were able to free it, the service said. Credit: Colorado Parks and Wildlife Northeast Region via Storyful
