Wristbands as social distancing guide
Location: Dubai, UAE
As employees returned to work at Create Media Group
managers invented a system
using color-coded bracelets
to indicate how staff want to be greeted
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MANAGING PARTNER AT CREATE MEDIA GROUP, TOM OTTON, SAYING:
"Anybody can walk into the reception, they pick one of those bands up and they put that on and it gives a very clear signal to anyone else who is interacting with them on how close to get."
Green bracelets mean first bumps are fine
Yellow ones indicated they are happy to chat
but no touching
and red means please keep your distance
(SOUNDBITE) (English) PHOTOGRAPHER, FARAH ABU ARJA, SAYING:
"I'm wearing a green band because I feel comfortable coming back to the office, and it feels good to see my friends and colleagues and catch up with everyone."
