Colombian Authorities Winch Flooding Victims to Safety After Iota Batters Honduras

Colombian authorities aided rescue efforts in Honduras on November 19 after Tropical Storm Iota left the region with severe flooding.

Members of the Colombian Civil Defence winched evacuees to safety in flood ravaged areas of the Sula Valley on Thursday, as the effects of Iota wreaked havoc across Central America.

In footage posted to social media , helicopters can be seen carrying civilians from floodwaters to safety.
