Colombia coal mine explosion kills at least 11

STORY: The explosion took place late on Tuesday in a rural area of Sutatausa, about 75 km (46 miles) north of Bogota.

One of the miners said: "At around 8:15 p.m. we heard a strong blast and then it triggered as if it were a quake. At that moment we left, and we saw all the mine entries ejecting smoke and dust."

Rescue teams and ambulances labored at the six adjoining mines to find the ten missing miners.
