Colin Jost might have had some explaining to do after work.

The longtime Saturday Night Live Weekend Update host, 41, found himself once again taking part in a joke swap between himself and co-host Michael Che during the season 49 finale of the series on May 18.

The bit requires Jost and Che, 41, to write each other offensive jokes to read live on air without having seen them beforehand. This time around, Che set up his friend by making him take a dig at his wife, Scarlett Johansson.

"ChatGBT has released a new voice assistant feature inspired by Scarlett Johansson's AI character in Her," Jost began. "Which I've never bothered to watch, because without that body, what's the point of listening."

The rest of the segment included jabs alluding to Che texting minors, women getting randomly punched in New York City and Che voluntarily inserting himself (by way of Jost's sense of humor) into the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

"Speaking of bitches, I want to call out the biggest bitch of all, Kendrick Lamar," Che said at one point through laughter.

"Or should I say littlest. Your war with Drake may be over, but your war with Michael Che is just beginning. So, to quote Hamilton, 'Shoot your shot, player,' " he added.

Jost, who has been married to Johansson since 2020, is no stranger to making jokes about his wife.

During the White House Correspondents' Dinner last month, during which Jost delivered an assessment of the Biden-Harris administration, the comedian also shared a few jokes name-dropping Johansson, 39, while also poking some fun at himself.

After comparing himself to Doug Emhoff by calling himself the "second gentleman," Jost thanked the actress for "agreeing to individually meet everyone in this room" after the dinner, and jokingly encouraged the crowd to "come right up" to her.

The pair dressed fancy during their date night at the annual event in Washington, D.C., as Johansson posed for photos with her husband while wearing a custom Giorgio Armani Privé white silk strapless column gown trimmed with crystals.
