Cold Front Brings Dumping of Fresh Snow to Australian Ski Fields

A cold front brought shivering temperatures and a dumping of fresh snow to Australia’s ski fields on June 6.

Mount Hotham in Victoria’s Alps received more than 50 centimetres (or 19.6 inches) of snow overnight, while nearby Falls Creek received 30 centimetres (11 inches). Perisher Ski Resort in New South Wales also received 30 centimetres of snow overnight, according to Vail Resorts which owns the three ski resorts.
