Two Spitfires took part in a VE Day flypast over the White Cliffs of Dover on May 8 in honor of the Allied victory in the Second World War.
Video shows the view from a Spitfire plane’s cockpit as it flies over the patrol vessel HMS Severn, while a second shows a lone piper from the 1st Battalion Scots Guards playing ‘When the Battle’s O’er’ as the planes fly overhead.
Kent Online reported that one of the Spitfires took part in 143 missions between 1941 and 1944, with the other having been featured in the 1969 film Battle of Britain.
