The US Coast Guard rescued three people on February 9 whom it said had been stranded on Anguilla Cay, an island in the Bahamas, for 33 days.
The three people were initially spotted by a Coast Guard aircraft on a routine patrol on February 8 while “waving a makeshift flag”. Food, water, and a radio were dropped to the trio before they were rescued a day later.
