CNN Gets Election Skeptic Jim Jordan To Admit 2024 Race Was 'Free And Fair'

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) just got put on the spot about why he only cried foul over election fraud when his candidate was on the losing end of the vote.

During a stop by CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, moderator Dana Bash pressed the congressman to explain why he was taking the results of the 2024 race at face value when he was such a staunch critic of what went down during the 2020 election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

“I haven’t seen you or your colleagues claiming any election irregularities, no rampant voting fraud this time,” Bash pointed out. “It seems to me that Republicans claim voting fraud and election integrity when you lose and not when you win.”

Instead of addressing Bash’s concern, Jordan talked up Trump’s political chops while calling the Republican’s 2024 win the “greatest political comeback we’ve ever seen.”

As the congressman went on about the contrast between Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign, Bash pushed Jordan to answer why his party’s persistent voter fraud accusations appeared to evaporate after their camp emerged victorious on Tuesday.

“Last time around, it wasn’t so much about the policy differences or personality differences. There were false claims about election fraud when Donald Trump lost,” she said. “This time Donald Trump won and you think the election was free and fair. You see there’s a little bit of a [difference]?”

“I think the Democrats got to ask, ‘Why did we go from getting 81 million to getting 70 million?’” Jordan replied. “What happened to those 10 million people? Maybe it’s not smart to run an election where you have no vision, no record to run.”

Trying to put campaign strategies aside, Bash again asked Jordan, “Do you believe the 2024 election was free and fair?”

All but backed into a corner, the Ohio politician admitted, “I do. I do.”

“Why was it different from 2020 when he lost? Is that the only difference?” Bash then wondered.

When Jordan cited concerns about mail-in voting, Bash reminded him that any claims of widespread election malfeasance had been thoroughly and repeatedly debunked.

Continuing to avoid the question, the congressman knocked Democrats for having “no vision” and just wanting to “call everyone names” this election cycle.

Realizing Jordan wasn’t going to give a straight answer, Bash wrapped the interview by telling viewers that there was “no evidence of widespread fraud in 2020.”

While Jordan wasn’t questioning the integrity of the 2024 election now, his party’s candidate did try to prime his supporters to challenge the voting process prior to his decisive win on Tuesday night.

Hours before Trump became the clear front-runner in the state of Pennsylvania, the president-elect took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to claim, “A lot of talk about massive CHEATING in Philadelphia. Law Enforcement coming!!!”
