Clouds Swirl Over Fort Lauderdale as Isaias Bears Down

Tropical Storm Isaias brought choppy surf and swirling clouds to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the morning of August 2, timelapse video shows.

Isaias, formerly a hurricane, approached as a tropical storm and weakened but was still expected to bring strong winds and flooding as it tracked northwards.

The National Weather Service warned of strong winds, flooding, and storm surges for parts of southern Florida north of Miami, with a tornado threat for coastal areas from West Palm Beach north to Fort Pierce. Credit: Scott Eddy via Storyful
