Classic dramas Triple Nine and Masters Of The Sea are coming to Netflix in November
Netflix is dropping another tranche of Singaporean content on us in November, after the streaming service onboarded a whole bunch of classic local TV shows and movies from August to October.
This time, Triple Nine and Masters Of The Sea are among the shows being added to Netflix for Singapore viewers. Both series will be available on 15 November.
Singaporeans will recall Masters Of The Sea as the first local English-language TV drama series back then in 1994. The show featured corporate intrigue and sibling rivalry within a wealthy shipping family. It starred Margaret Chan, Ng Chin Han, Wong Li-lin, Tan Kheng Hua, Nora Samosir, and Caleb Goh.
Triple Nine was the 1990s action-packed crime drama that propelled James Lye and Wong Li-lin to fame in their roles as police inspectors Mike Chin and Elaine Tay. All four seasons of Triple Nine will be available on Netflix.
Netflix is also adding more content to Singaporean series that were released in the previous batch.
Three more seasons of Growing Up will be added to Netflix on 15 November, making all six seasons of the family drama available on the platform.
Season 2 of sitcom Phua Chu Kang is being added, as well as Phua Chu Kang: The Movie, on top of the currently available Season 3.
Season 2 of Under One Roof will also be added to the single season of the sitcom available on Netflix.
Other shows include supernatural anthology Incredible Tales and the movie adaptation of Michael Chiang’s play Army Daze.

Previously, from August this year, a total of 106 classic and nostalgic TV series and movies were made available on Netflix, including The Unbeatables, The Golden Pillow, Return Of The Condor Heroes, Ilo Ilo, 881, 12 Storeys, and I Not Stupid.
Netflix previously had already featured Singapore-made content such as The Little Nyonya and Ah Boys To Men.
