The original U.K. apartment building has been converted back to regular flats, which prompted the streaming giant to seek out a new home. The new compound in Atlanta allows producers to use the entire apartment building, which now functions as cast and crew accommodations, plus a central hub for production, including areas for the show’s control room and editing bays.

In The Circle, players move into separate apartments within the same building, where they are isolated from the world and only allowed to communicate within a social media app. Players can choose to portray themselves or make up fake personas called catfish. Every couple of days, power is granted via an overall ranking, and the chosen “influencers” are allowed to block whomever they choose from the circle.

Season 5 wrapped January 18, 2023 and featured the return of Season 1 fan-favorite Shubham Goel. Former Big Brother houseguest Brett Robinson also competed for the $100,000 prize.
